"The cabin"
This is the untold story of a hunter, who one day went to the forest to do just that, hunt. On his journey, he decided to change course to give his trade diversity, so he turned his truck around and parked it in front of an unknown forest that was reputed to be abundant in large prey. He went with his shotgun clasped in his hands, waiting for some neglected animal, but he could not see beyond his nose, since suddenly, an abundant fog took over the panorama. This was so thick and profuse, that the hunter could not find his origin and went deeper into the forest than he had planned. He walked and walked rubbing his hands on his forearms, as the fog brought with it an excruciating cold that soaked the poor hunter to the marrow, while a marked white smoke came out of his mouth with each breath.
In turn, trembling like a leaf, the hunter began to give heart-rending cries of despair, as he felt that two whole days had passed. I was hungry, thirsty, cold, and distressed. Until, in the distance, he suddenly spotted a small wooden hut. He ran to the cabin, and out of desperation, he entered without even knocking. Everything was dark, so as he could, he found a small switch, but when the only room was illuminated, horror passed through his eyes when he saw a set of pictures with portraits of people staring at him, some had a full face, but others, not quite. Some were missing their eyes, others their teeth, and others their entire faces.
However, tired, confused, terrified and in turn, relieved to have found a refuge, regardless of his appearance, he decided that any hole would be better than that misleading torture, for which, he took out a blanket and practically fainted due to hunger , thirst, and heartbreak. However, after time, the man woke up suddenly due to an overwhelming light hitting his face, and at that moment, when he saw the blanket that he had used in front of him, he realized that those paintings were not portraits ... they were windows.

Explanation:
Semicolons separate two related sentences. Using a comma between "despaired" and "everyone," or not using punctuation at all, would cause it to be a comma splice or run-on sentence. D is a very close answer because the conjunction "and" can also connect two sentences, but only with a comma before it. Plus, it would just be wordy. :)

B. compound sentence
C. complex sentence
D. compound-complex sentence
Answer:
C. Complex Sentence
Explanation:
The sentence is composed of one independent clause and one dependent clause.
The given sentence is an example of a complex sentence. The correct option is C.
What is a complex sentence?A complex sentence includes at least one independent clause and at least one dependent clause.
It is most effective when more information is required to explain or modify the main point of your sentence.
Combining one or more subordinate (dependent) clauses with the main (independent) clause using conjunctions and/or relative pronouns results in a complex sentence.
A clause is just a simple sentence. Simple sentences have only one clause (verb group). Multiple clauses are used in complex sentences (verb group).
The complex sentence is a powerful tool for demonstrating why one idea is more important than another. The concept in the dependent phrase is more important than the concept in the sentence base as a whole.
Thus, the correct option is C.
